EDIT 6!!!
Here I'm again, maybe with the last edit?
I followed once again *JLDragonfly precious suggestions, trying to point her eyes on the viewer. I think I got it now! Then, as *KuroSy suggested, I desaturated the violet in the background.
I also continued working on it, adding details and lights/shadows. I need to work on the sword now and I've to add some final touches... Any other suggestions, my friend?
I think next time I'll directly upload it in my gallery!
---------------------------------------
EDIT 5!!!
Oooook! I finally found some time to work again on this painting!
As *GiovyLoCa and *JLDragonfly suggested, I tried to point Ria's eyes on the viewer... It's one of the most difficult things I ever did, I've to say!
Then, I also tried to fix colours, as *KuroSy suggested me, desaturating them just a little, and decreasing the number of colors, trying to use a more restricted palette: shades of red / orange / yellow and, by contrast, purple / blue.
I also changed the Helmet, following *JLDragonfly's tip, and using this one as reference: [link] and I think this is far more better than the first helmet!
I also changed a little her outfits... Maybe more sexy?
-------------------------------
EDIT 4!!!
I started detailing her face! She has a very fierce expression... ò__ò

-----------------------------
EDIT 3!!!
*__* As promised here I'm again with a very very very rough color scheme! Wel... I like it enough... Let me know if you like it!!!
Maybe you can also noticed some changes in the lineart sketch! I added a spiral of flames directed to the observer, and I also tried to point her eyes to the viewer. (As *JLDragonfly suggested!)
I shortened the neck, enlarged just a little the head and shortened the left arm too. (as ~vandelia suggested!)
--------------------------------
EDIT 2!!!
Ok, once again I followed *KuroSy suggestion and fixed (at least, I hope so xD) the anatomycal proportions in the worm-eye perspective! I also made a little more elaborate her head piece, as *JLDragonfly suggested, but I'll work better on it when colouring!
Can I proceed with a preliminary colour sketch, or there is anything else to fix? *__*
-------------------------
EDIT 1!!!
So, following the suggestions of *KuroSy and ~kanako91 I completely re-sketched the drawing, trying to give it more dynamism! But as ~vandelia as suggested, I tried to don't lose the facial expression of the character. I tried also to sketch it in a bird-eye perpective, but no success T__T... especially in respecting the human proportions ... It's really difficult!
But here it seems to me that there aren't too many "deformity"... Maybe only the hand in the foreground is too big now? ò__ò
---------------------
Ok! So here I'm am! As I see with the last poll -[link] - that you'd be interested in a wip journal, I decided to try this new experience!!
I'm sure your comments, critiques and suggestions will help me very much in improving my art skills and maybe it can be funny for you! (I hope so.. ò__ò°) So, don't hesitate to write wathever you think about the WIP, ok?
To start, I sketched that...:
... Well, my sketches are always very confused, so I'm not sure it's understanable! xD xD Let me explain my idea!
My intention is to draw one of the "Major Arcana" of Tarots: Fortitude. I'd like to adapt it to my OC Ria, as I think fortitude is one of her main features! ^__^ I don't care to paint Ria exactly how she is in the novel, with her usual outfits, I prefer to focus only on some aspects:
The concept of fortitude, of course, and for this reason I also drew a dragon in the sketch (hope you can see it ò_ò). I'd like the dragon to be just a shadow on the background.
I also want to draw flames and fire from her hands, ad fire is her element and also, I think, a symbol of fortitude.
I like this sketch enough, but I really don't like her left arm position... I'd like to give it more dynamism... What do you suggest to fix the sketch?
Do you see any anatomical mystakes?
And any suggestions about colour scheme?
I can't wait to read your suggestions!!!!

Riguardo al colore, se puoi fai una prova: scurisci e ingrigisci tutti i viola di sfondo! Credo che in questo modo il fuoco si "accenderebbe" molto :3
Il fine settimana dovrebbe durare 5 giorni.
