“Vicky! GET OUT OF THE BATHROOM!” Ryland yelled, frustrated. “We’re gonna be late!”
Vicky rolled her eyes in the mirror and applied mascara quickly. She checked her make-up and straightened her dress, smiling as she noticed that her hair had decided to co-operate today. She looked pretty good. Vicky stepped out of the bathroom, giving Ryland a twirl. They were going out to an awards show- their first public event as a couple.
Ryland applauded enthusiastically. He whistled. “WOW! Vicky- you look so gorgeous!” he stared in amazement. “And this is the pretty girl I’m showing off tonight? No model could be better!”
Vicky blushed, wiggling slightly. “Shut up, Ry. It feels so awkward.”
She was wearing a short black dress; small red beads all across her chest and black beads dangling from her hips and the bottom of the dress. I always followed what my father and grandfather told me and was very obedient. Being so focused on being a good girl in school always hindered would be friendships that came my way. Academics and being a refined lady always was top priority for me, no matter what. Thus my social skills were poor and I had a very snooty attitude towards others. Always saying what's on my mind immediately and being brutally honest with others. My family liked it, not so much
